"Heurigen"-Time
"Heuriger" is the traditionally given name to the current vintage of a wine until 11 November (Martini). In Vienna, the wine tavern itself is also called "Heuriger". At the Viennese Heuriger, only Viennese wine may be served, with the appropriate culinary accompaniment being offered, and sometimes the typical Heuriger music is performed live. You can tell if the wine tavern is open (“Ausg’steckt is”) by the pine bush at its entrance. The Heuriger is known for its cosy atmosphere, and numerous songs and films have been dedicated to it.
